Who You Talk To
When you call Electricsuggestions Roofing, your call is routed to an independent roofing contractor who serves your part of the Gloucester area. The person who answers works for that contractor, not for Electricsuggestions Roofing. They are the team that will inspect your roof, give you an estimate and, if you choose, do the work.
Electricsuggestions Roofing is a referral service. We do not employ roofers, and we do not send our own crews. We think you should know that before you pick up the phone.
What Happens on the Call
The contractor's team will usually ask a few questions to understand your roof:
- Is water coming in right now, and where?
- How old is the roof, and what is it made of?
- Was there a recent storm, high wind or hail?
- Are you thinking about a repair, a replacement or not sure yet?
Answer as well as you can. It is fine if you don't know everything. The goal is to help the contractor plan an inspection.
What to Ask a Contractor
You are trusting someone with one of the most important parts of your home. It is smart to ask questions. Here are the ones we suggest:
- Are you licensed and insured? Ask for proof of liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage, and any license required for roofing in Massachusetts.
- Do you have a local address? A contractor based in the area is easier to reach if a problem comes up later.
- Will I get a written estimate? It should list the work, the materials, how deck repairs are priced and the total cost before anything starts.
- What warranties apply? Ask about both the manufacturer's material warranty and the contractor's workmanship warranty, and get them in writing.
- Who pulls the permit? Most roof replacements need one. Ask who handles it and any inspections.
- Can you show me the damage? Photos of what they found help you understand the recommendation.
You Are in Control
You never have to hire the contractor we connect you with. Take your time, ask questions and get other quotes if you want to. Each contractor is an independent business that sets its own prices and terms, and is responsible for its own work.
If something does not feel right, tell us. We want to hear about your experience so we can keep our network honest. You can reach us at contact@electricsuggestions.garden.
